Q. Can a past student apply to gain access to your research databases/libproxy login?
I was a student a few years ago and I need to do market research for my business plan. I currently live out of New York and if I could gain access via online, then I could save time and money instead of visiting you. Any direction to how I could gain access either remotely or in-person would be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately our databases our not available remotely unless you are a current FIT student or employee. Licensing contractual agreements do not permit unlimited access and we purchase access for only current members of the FIT community. Certainly if you come to NYC we can assist you with onsite access to most of the databases. An appointment would also be required for you to visit and use our resources.
We've also created a list of databases that we suggest for certain topics and that you might be able to use remotely from a public library near you.
If you are not a current FIT or SUNY student or employee, you must request an appointment in order to use the FIT Library. Please see Visit the Libraryand submit your request through the form on that page.
