Some FM classes come into the library for a session with a librarian and these sessions may cover fashion forecasting services.  You may yet take another course that includes a  more detailed fashion forecast library session but there is no need to wait for that if you are eager to learn about them now - and they are definitely worth knowing about and using!  Here are a few suggestions:

1) There is a Fashion & Trend Forecasting Research Guide, prepared by FIT librarians, which may help introduce you to the services, including the online forecasting services (available 24/7 in the library and remotely) and the print forecast services and  trend magazines on the 6th floor in the FIT Library's Periodicals Department.  The research guide also includes links to handy how-to guides for the online services (under the tab 'Trend Services').

2) The Research Services Librarians on the 5th floor in the library are happy to give you a quick run-down of the forecast services.  Let us know if you want a longer one-on-one session and we'll see what we can arrange.

I hope this helps you get started using these inspiring resources.
